Privacy policy
Last updated October 11, 2026. This explains what the artist portal collects and why. Creamt Recordz processes personal data in line with the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other laws that apply.
1. Controller

2. Information we collect
- Personal information: name, email, phone, artist name, organization, and password.
- Payment information: bank details, PayPal email, or mobile-money details for royalty payouts.
- Payments to the label: when you pay a charge, your phone number and network (for mobile money) or checkout details (for card) go to our payment processor so the transaction can complete. We store the charge, its status, and the processor’s reference.
- Music files: audio, artwork, lyrics, credits, and the metadata sent with a submission.
- Distribution access: Free, Paid, or Custom plan, royalty share, and paid-period dates.
- Usage and device data: login activity, pages, IP address, and browser type.
3. How we use it
- To run distribution, publishing, playlist pitching, campaigns, and sessions.
- To deliver releases to digital stores and technical delivery partners.
- To pay royalties to the method you saved, at the share for your access track.
- To collect a charge you start in the portal (mobile money or card).
- To email you about submissions, payments, verification, and password resets.
- To meet legal duties and protect the label’s rights.
4. Who else sees it
Some processors and stores are outside Ghana. We share only what is needed to provide the service you requested.
- Digital stores and delivery partners receive the music and metadata needed to distribute a release.
- Our payment processor receives the details needed to complete a charge you start (amount, reference, and mobile-money or card checkout data).
- We disclose information when the law requires it.
- A merger or sale of the label can include these records.
5. Security
Passwords are stored with bcrypt. The portal is meant to run over HTTPS. Session cookies are HttpOnly. API keys for delivery partners stay on the server and are not shown in the browser.
6. Your rights
Under Act 843 and related practice, you can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your account data, and to stop non-essential email, subject to legal retention needs. Write to privacy@creamtrecordz.com.
7. Cookies
The portal uses a session cookie so you stay signed in. It does not set advertising cookies.
8. Retention
Account data stays while the account is active. Music files and royalty records may be kept longer so royalties and takedowns can still be traced.
