Publishing
Publishing administration is about the composition: the writers and the song. It is separate from distribution of the sound recording.
Who it is for
Songwriters, producers who write, and rightsholders who can name their share. You do not need Free, Paid, or Custom distribution access to send a publishing registration.
What you provide
- Composition title, duration, language, and the year it was written.
- Each writer’s legal name, role, share, and society. An IPI number if they have one.
- Lyrics, or a note that the song is instrumental.
- A clearance note if the song is a cover or contains a sample.
What Creamt does
Staff review the registration. The form does not itself register you with a society. It records the legal names, the share you want administered, and the lyrics or a note that the song is instrumental. Publishing administration is free. Of the publishing income Creamt collects on that share, you keep 70% and Creamt keeps 30%. That split does not change distribution royalties.
What happens next
Sign in and open Publishing. You can register a song on its own, or from a release already in your catalog. The registration stays on that tab until staff update it.
